Centering Practice: Breath Awareness

by Robert S. Strohmeyer

Start Your Weekend with Calm: A 10-Minute Breath Practice

In the busyness of life, we often forget to simply breathe. This practice is a gentle way to anchor yourself in the present moment, clearing mental clutter and restoring calm. Take 10 minutes today to reconnect with the natural rhythm of your breath.

Try this:

  1. Sit comfortably.
  2. Inhale deeply for a count of 4.
  3. Hold your breath for 4.
  4. Exhale for 4.
  5. Pause for 4.

Repeat for 10 minutes, focusing on your breath.

✨ Feel the calm spread through your body and mind. How do you feel after trying this? Reflect on the meaning of any feelings or thoughts that arose before you continue into the weekend.
